Training programme on Gas Chromatography (ECD, FID & GCMS)

Gas Chromatography (GC) with Mass Spectrometry (MS) is one of the most important tools for quantitative identification of volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds in a complex mixture. Gas chromatography have many practical applications, such as, in petrochemical industries, natural products, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food, agriculture, herbal industries, forensics, environmental testing, pesticide analysis, explosives detection and other laboratory technology fields.

Our training program provides comprehensive training in Gas Chromatography with FID, ECD and MS Detectors under which full knowledge of detailed description of the instruments, its theory and the use of their accessories is imparted. Wide coverage is given to fundamental concepts of laboratory operations in a lucid manner so that both the novice and expert will find the programme as a useful reference for the day to day laboratory operations. The training is carried out according to the specified protocols and fundamental principles of Gas Chromatography.

Targeted Trainees

  1. Students in disciplines of Chemistry, Pharmacy, Food & Nutrition, Polymer Science, Environmental science, and Agricultural Sciences.
  2. Scientists and Research scholors new to Gas Chromatography.
  3. Practicing Chemists or scientists wishing to refresh their knowledge of GC
  4. Practicing Chemists with experience of running GC methods, but looking to develop new methods and to learn new troubleshooting tips.

Minimum Eligibility Required:

The trainee must possess a graduation degree in science field or must be pursuing the same. No matter what your level of expertise, we offer a course thatís perfect for you.

Selection Procedure

Since hands on training is planned, participants has to be restricted to a manageable number, hence 10 students per batch will be accommodated for the programme. Students may be selected based on an interview.
