Hands on Training in Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-AES)
Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-AES) is a powerful analytical technique widely used for the qualitative and quantitative determination of elemental composition in diverse sample matrices. The technique offers high sensitivity, accuracy, and the capability for simultaneous multi-element analysis. This hands-on training programme is designed to provide participants with practical exposure to the principles, instrumentation, sample preparation methods, calibration procedures, and data interpretation involved in ICP-AES analysis. The training will enable researchers and laboratory personnel to develop proficiency in operating the instrument and generating reliable analytical results for environmental, biological, agricultural, and industrial applications.
The workshop is intended to provide basics of ICP-AES to the participants along with instrumentation and practical experience in some of the applications. The training programme covers topics including fundamentals of ICP-AES, Instrumentation and Components, Sample Preparation, separation and Handling Data Acquisition and interpretation.
The expected target group for this programme is Post-graduate students, PhD scholars and other researchers from Research Institutions, Colleges and Universities
